Post-doc position available at the Institute of Microbiology

Post-doc position available in a consortium project "Multidisciplinary approaches to identify genetic determinants of Candida albicans pathogenicity"

Publié par Raquel Fernandez

A Postdoc position is available for an interdisciplinary SNSF-funded Sinergia project involving 4 different laboratories at University of Zürich, University of Lausanne, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale Lausanne (EPFL) and the Institut Pasteur in Paris.

The project focuses on the fungal pathogen Candida albicans and is aimed to identify fungal genetic factors associated with the variability in the outcomes of fungal-host interactions. Genetic factors will be identified using several parallel approaches based on the association of diverse phenotypes (obtained in vitro, in vivo and through transcriptomics) with whole genomes data from a collection of clinical isolates.

The consortium will recruit a post-doctoral fellows for 3-4 years with specific research competences. In Lausanne (Instititute of Microbiology), one post-doctoral position is available starting October 1 2017 in the following field :

C. albicans and host transcriptomics@ Institute of Microbiology, University of Lausanne (Prof. Dominique Sanglard):

The candidate should have skills in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. Experience in transcriptome analysis and mammalian cell cultures is an advantage.

We encourage excellent and highly motivated candidates to submit their CV, a letter of motivation and 3 letters of recommendation to :
